#SRE.- At the inauguration of the new Passport Office located in Jiutepec, Morelos, Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente stated that this action reflects the priorities mandated by President Claudia Sheinbaum to provide, both within and outside the country, the best services, with quality, efficiency, and a humanistic touch.

Accompanied by the state’s governor, Margarita González Saravia, De la Fuente stated that the Fourth Transformation government is carrying out actions at various levels and regions with a seal of distinction to serve people effectively, honestly, and providing the attention they deserve.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to be more efficient and more sensitive to people’s needs, instilling the humanistic touch that President Sheinbaum Pardo has also instructed us to in our actions and services.

The Foreign Minister explained that, following the agreement streamlining procedures published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last February, which reduced the number of passport requirements from six to three, the days of an ordeal to obtain this document are over.

After specifying that the same operating model used in Mexican offices is replicated in consulates in the United States, he noted that the passports issued by the Mexican government are among the most secure in the world, as they feature 50 security features, a polycarbonate booklet, and an integrated chip that stores biographical and biometric data, photographs, and registration keys, among other elements. This design makes them virtually unforgeable.
