#Tlalnepantla, #Edoméx.- Making a will means planning ahead, thinking clearly about the future, but also with generosity. Therefore, the Tlalnepantla government, through the Municipal DIF System, is implementing a permanent and accessible program so that citizens can complete this process quickly, easily, and affordably.

On behalf of Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz, the head of the Legal Department, Miriam Martínez Barrios, distributed 75 Low-Cost Wills, of which 59 percent were for women and 41 percent for men, who will have greater security over their assets.

In the presence of the Honorary President of the Tlalnepantla DIF, Rocío Pérez Cruz, the official noted that, in Mexico, only 4.7 percent of residents have a will. «Today, you are part of that percentage who decide to assume your role as protectors of your assets and your family.»

Martínez Barrios indicated that this ongoing Low-Cost Wills program was implemented so that people can obtain this document, which is sometimes inaccessible due to its high price, and that it is now available to everyone.

SMDIF General Director Edmundo González Gallegos highlighted the attendance of members of Citizen Participation Councils and Auxiliary Authorities, who perform the important task of disseminating this program, which provides the benefit of securing assets through a testamentary instrument.

For his part, Public Notary 164 of the State of Mexico, Jaime Vázquez Castillo, stated that «Every year there is a campaign that runs from September to October, therefore, there is a reduction in the cost of wills, but at the Municipal DIF of Tlalnepantla, the campaign is ongoing, and the price is much less than half the cost of the national campaign.»
