#Tlalpan, #CDMX.- As part of the strategy to guarantee the right to decent housing in rural areas south of the capital, the Tlalpan Mayor’s Office and the Mexico City Housing Institute (INVI) launched a new citizen service center in the sub-delegation of the town of San Pedro Mártir.
The new space will make it possible to provide housing programs, procedures, and advice to families from indigenous communities and nearby neighborhoods. The inauguration was led by Mayor Gaby Osorio, accompanied by Sub-delegate Víctor Marcos Fuentes, as well as community representatives from San Andrés Totoltepec, Parres El Guarda, and Chimalcoyoc. Officials from the INVI were present on behalf of the institution.
During her address, the mayor thanked Mayor Clara Brugada and the head of the Housing Secretariat, Inti Muñoz, for supporting this effort, which will directly serve the communities that make up Tlalpan.
“The goal is for the government to go to the local area. We will invest every peso where it is most needed, without corruption. We are here to serve, not to be served,” Osorio said.
At the same event, the mayor announced that a university project focused on strengthening the comprehensive development of the towns of Tlalpan will soon be consolidated, as part of a long-term agenda for rural communities.
For his part, Víctor Marcos Fuentes emphasized that “today the doors of the INVI are opened to serve the citizens of San Pedro Mártir,” highlighting the importance of bringing public services to the areas with the greatest need.
This is the second INVI module in the mayor’s office. The first is located in Ajusco Medio, next to the Mayan Culture Arts and Crafts Center.
