#QuintanaRoo.- To ensure that no one is left behind, no one is left out, and no child has to travel long distances to study, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa inaugurated the new «José María Barrera» General Secondary School in the Sacbé Private neighborhood of Cancún.
Before parents, teachers, administrative staff, and authorities, Governor Mara Lezama expressed her satisfaction with the inauguration of this space where children will have the opportunity to study, learn, spread their wings, and pursue what they love, based on their talents.
She affirmed that this humanist government with a feminist heart works with passion, puts people at the center of its actions, and fights corruption, so that the money goes further. «This is a new way of governing, where the people’s money returns to the people; where we will do what previous governments did to us; doing things right the first time,» she said.
On the other hand, accompanied by the honorary president of the Quintana Roo DIF, Verónica Lezama Espinosa, she urged the young people to completely avoid self-destructive behaviors, drugs, alcohol, gambling, pornography, and anything that causes them sadness or pain. She asked them to speak out, to not remain silent, because this government believes them.
This project represents the new educational infrastructure model promoted by the Fourth Transformation, where each school is a space for well-being, inclusion, and social justice, fulfilling the commitment that every new school will have its own dome.
