CAPAMA strengthens emergency brigades ahead of the rainy season / @AbelinaLopezR @Acapulco >>>

#Acapulco, #Gro.- This rainy season, personnel from the Acapulco Municipal Drinking Water and Sewer Commission (CAPAMA) are redoubling their work to clear manholes using winches and a vacuum truck at various points throughout the city.

These actions are to prevent blockages in storm drains, sewers, and pipes caused by solids carried down from the upper reaches by the rains.

Sewer personnel are removing PET bottles, sandals, plastics, and other trash from a collapsed manhole on Adolfo Ruiz Cortines Avenue in front of the La Quebradora neighborhood.

The same situation has been reported at various points in the port, such as Costera Miguel Alemán, Cuauhtémoc, Adolfo Ruiz Cortines, and Farallón del Obispo avenues, as well as in the Costa Azul, Las Playas, and Marroquín neighborhoods, among others.

CAPAMA is urging citizens not to litter the streets to prevent the collapse of sewage systems.
