#EstadoDeGuanajuato.- “This is the Government of the People. We owe it to you, we worked for you every day, and this program is to recognize the people who work. This will be the administration of commerce.”
This was stated by the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, on a working tour of this municipality where she reaffirmed her commitment to the people of Guanajuato, with concrete actions that strengthen the local economy and improve the quality of life for families, with a special focus on women.
The State Governor led the regional delivery of productive equipment to merchants benefiting from the “My Store at 100” and “My Plaza: Tianguis y Mercados de la Gente” programs, with a total investment of 1.8 million pesos between the State and the Municipalities.
These programs, promoted by the Ministry of Economy, seek to modernize and professionalize permanent and semi-permanent businesses through training, improved image, and equipment, and above all, to provide self-financing opportunities for Guanajuato families.
In total, 116 merchants in Region 5-B, which includes the municipalities of Acámbaro, Coroneo, Jerécuaro, and Tarandacuao, benefited, 82 of whom are women.
This support reinforces the Governor’s commitment to promoting economic development with a gender perspective, providing tools for more women to lead and strengthen their businesses.
Coroneo Opens Aquatic Center
State Governor Libia Dennise, accompanied by Mayor Luis Fernando Velázquez Esquivel, delivered the Aquatic Center, the first of its kind in the southeast of the state.
This space features a six-lane semi-Olympic pool, locker rooms, restrooms, retractable bleachers, a team area, and administrative offices; it is the sixth of its kind in the state.
The People’s Government, through the Guanajuato State Sports Commission (CODE), invested 58.5 million pesos in this project to benefit the entire region.
«Today, Coroneo has its Aquatic Center, which is also the first in the southeast of the state, and which will benefit the municipalities of Jerécuaro, Tarandacuao, and Acámbaro,» said Libia Dennise.
The Coroneo Aquatic Center joins the Guanajuato Aquatic Center Network, which currently operates in León, Purísima del Rincón, Dolores Hidalgo, and the city of Guanajuato. In addition to the one being built at the Deportiva Norte in Irapuato, these centers offer swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming, and diving classes.
