#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #EstadoDeMéxico.- During the 2022 – 2024 Administration, several acts of corruption and irresponsible management of resources that favored public servants were committed, which generated an embezzlement and a serious financial crisis, for which Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz stated “I will show no mercy against those who plundered the Government of Tlalnepantla”.

In a press conference, the Mayor assured that the corresponding complaints have been filed before the authorities and bodies in charge of carrying out the pertinent investigations for these facts that generated a serious impact to the patrimony of the inhabitants; likewise, he pointed out that 187 public servants have been called to render statements for their alleged responsibility in illicit acts.

Through the municipal program “Tarjeta Joven” there was an alleged diversion of 22 million pesos with the falsification of beneficiaries’ signatures; regarding a contract for the lease of street lights, Perez Cruz commented that there is allegedly no evidence to justify the destination of more than 148 million pesos for the installation of 20 thousand street lights (some of which were actually installed).

Accompanied by the Head of the Municipal Internal Control Organ, Germán Sánchez Salas, the Mayor revealed possible acts of corruption in sports such as conflict of interest because “apparently the head of the area was the legal representative of a company that signed authorizations for the use and exploitation of sports facilities”. It is also presumed that movable property such as sound equipment and facilities structures were stolen, as well as the destruction of sports fields.

A review of the payroll revealed possible alterations of documents, falsification of signatures, unjustified bonuses and people who were paid without working (aviators), situations that exceed 600 thousand pesos per year, an amount that could increase as the investigations are still ongoing.

The Head of OPDM Tlalnepantla, Alberto Valdés Rodríguez, indicated that the previous municipal authorities also committed alleged irregularities in hydraulic works through works paid for but not executed, such as the drilling and equipping of drinking water wells in different parts of the municipality, despite the fact that the vital liquid did not reach the homes of the families of Tlalnepantla.

According to the investigations and presumably, there is no guarantee of the work performed on the rehabilitation of cisterns in housing units such as Los Rosarios, El Tenayo and Los Reyes Ixtacala, to mention a few.

Other alleged anomalies are the rehabilitation of the laboratory of the Waste Water Treatment Plant located in Los Reyes Ixtacala Second Section, as well as integral works for the recovery of the exploitation flow in different deep wells of the municipality.
