Monterrey will honor police officers who confronted alleged attackers of a family in the Industrial neighborhood

#Monterrey, #N.L.- The most recent act of bravery by members of the Monterrey Police will be recognized, Mayor Adrián de la Garza announced, thanking the officers who engaged in an armed confrontation in the Industrial neighborhood during the early hours of the morning.

“The police officers, fortunately, thank God, are fine, they are stable, they were injured… let’s hope they continue to recover. They confronted these bandits, attackers of the citizens. They did it bravely and they did well. We send them our congratulations, and of course we will recognize them as a city.

“We have to give them incentives, we will do so, and from here I send my most sincere respect and congratulations to all the women and men of the Monterrey police and the Auxiliary Guard who risk their lives every day for all the citizens,” he commented.

He explained that while setting up an operation in the neighborhood, the officers heard gunshots, and were able to identify the shooters.

One of the alleged criminals died in the incident inside the vehicle in which they were fleeing; another was arrested and is being investigated by the competent authorities.

These individuals, and it is presumed that they along with others, attacked a family, injuring two people, including one. Minor.

He reiterated his commitment to creating a peaceful Monterrey, for which he will fully monitor the entire territory, including those currently under the command of Fuerza Civil.
