#CuautitlánIzcalli, #StateOfMexico.- The «Verane-arte» summer course with a gender perspective was held at the «Hermila Galindo» Community Development Center in the Francisco Villa neighborhood. It was organized by the Municipal Institute for Equality, Emancipation, and Collective Empowerment of Women (IMGUALDAD).
This course, which ran from July 28th to August 8th, welcomed 32 girls and boys of different ages, who took advantage of their summer vacation to explore their artistic skills, make new friends, and learn more about values such as gender equity and equality between women and men.

After two weeks of fun activities, the «Verane-arte» course with a gender perspective concluded with an event led by the Mayor of Cuautitlán Izcalli, Daniel Serrano, and the director of IMGUALDAD, Jeanette de Rosas. The event featured exhibits of works created by the participating children, including murals on recycled canvas and characters they created, inspired by creatures of nature.
The mayor recognized everyone for their dedication to this course, including the mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who made the children’s participation possible. «We seek to build equality between girls and boys, so that these good practices become everyday practices and this message continues to spread,» he stated.
