We want no one in Tlalnepantla to go to bed hungry: Raciel Pérez / @RacielPerezC_ @Gob_Tlalne >>>
#Tlalnepantla, #Edoméx.- For 15 pesos, residents of the Jorge Jiménez Cantú neighborhood and surrounding communities will be able to enjoy complete and balanced meals at «La Cocina del Bienestar,» a municipal program promoted by Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz to ensure residents have access to quality food.
Accompanied by members of the City Council and Auxiliary Authorities, Pérez Cruz commented that «this social program aims to address a deeply felt demand from the population. We want no one in our city to go to bed hungry. This wellness kitchen will serve everyone.»
The Mayor indicated that women perform heavy unpaid domestic work in addition to the time spent preparing food. «We precisely want women to be able to dedicate less time to this work, which has been called the National Care System.»
During the event hosted by «Ensamble Tierra de En Medio,» the Mayor affirmed that the Kitchen of Well-being is a public policy that generates better living conditions in communities that already have these spaces, contributing to the reconstruction of the social fabric.
Regarding security, he stated that more than 95 percent of homicides committed in the municipality are related to drug dealing, and the resulting settling of scores occurs.
Through the General Police Station for Proximity and Citizen Security, actions and operations are being strengthened to inhibit the commission of crimes. «We are facing this and many other problems. If, among the three levels of government, we eliminated the scourge we suffer from drug-related crimes, our city would be a municipality with virtually no high-impact crime. And we are working on that task,» commented Pérez Cruz.
