In Naucalpan, OAPAS assists in the inspection of well herons / @isaacsolar @GobNau >>>

#Naucalpan, #Edoméx.- Following the closure of one of the three wells at the San Andrés Atoto Well by the Administration Department of the Valley of Mexico Water Basin Authority (OCAVM) of the National Water Commission (CONAGUA), following an anonymous complaint, the Municipal Government, through the Water Authority (OAPAS), is assisting in the review of the wells’ wells while the authority conducts investigations.

During a visit by public officials from the OCAVM, they reviewed the documentation and facilities of the San Andrés Atoto Well, where they were shown the concession title (urban public use).

Personnel in charge of this well also verified the existence of the meter, the flow payments, and the control of the filling of tanker trucks for the supply of residents, businesses, and industry in Naucalpan.

CONAGUA authorities proceeded to close, as a (temporary) coercive measure, only one of the three tankers at the San Andrés Atoto well, given that, in response to the anonymous complaint, «the facts are uncertain; only one tanker was closed, leaving the well operating.»

Thus, the OAPAS Water Agency has not been sanctioned; authorities are beginning an investigation following an anonymous complaint. The results of the investigation are awaited.

The OAPAS Water Agency has 98 tanker concessions registered from previous administrations, and no more have been granted during the current municipal government.

It is also noted that, at Pozo de la Hoja, only OAPAS tankers are loaded, and the concessioned ones are only used to address the water emergency, as occurred at the beginning of the current municipal administration.
