#CuautitlánIzcalli, #Edoméx.- Mayor Daniel Serrano inaugurated this Friday theDays for Peace in the Hacienda del Parque neighborhood, as part of the National Security Strategy promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

Service desks were set up at the site to provide various procedures and services to the population, with the presence of virtually all areas of the municipal administration. In addition, a cleanup day was held with the participation of members of the National Guard, as part of the effort to address the structural causes that generate violence and insecurity.

He was accompanied by Iván Bello Cruz, Technical Secretary of the Coordination Board for Peacebuilding; Corporal Víctor Alfonso Almazán Castillo, of the 107th Infantry Battalion; Agent José Manuel Rosario Jacobo, of the 37th Battalion of the National Guard, and Hermenegildo Héctor López, Municipal Commissioner, the mayor said that these workshops seek to address the effects of policies that for years have abandoned the population, especially young people.

e recalled that a few years ago, young people were called «ninis» (neighbors) for not working or studying, as if that were their desire, when in reality, opportunities were blocked because universities were no longer built, enrollments stopped growing, and they were excluded for failing an exam.

e acknowledged that to counteract these effects, during the previous six-year term, the Federal Government implemented the «Young People Building the Future» program, which offered scholarships to help young people stay in school and learn trades.
