#Tlalnepantla, #StateOfMexico. – During the delivery of more than 2,500 cards of the integral program “Women with Wellbeing” promoted by the Government of the State of Mexico headed by Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, the Mayor of Tlalnepantla Raciel Pérez Cruz assured that this type of programs and the social policy promoted by the Fourth Transformation allowed more than 11 million Mexicans to leave the threshold of poverty.
The Mayor pointed out that the social policy outlined by the three levels of government will continue to produce results and is a determining factor in combating poverty and generating more and better opportunities for development.
Regarding the state program “Mujeres con Bienestar”, Perez Cruz mentioned that ‘this meeting represents an act of justice and recognition to women, to whom we reaffirm our commitment from the Municipal Government to generate favorable environments to improve their quality of life and that of their families’.
The head of the Welfare Secretariat of the State of Mexico Juan Carlos González Romero emphasized that this regional event instructed by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez aims to deliver this card “created by a woman for a woman”.
He specified that there are currently 650 thousand active cards in which 2,500 pesos are deposited bimonthly to support women who «are the warriors of our home and are always there day by day, no matter what.
The official recriminated that previously, there was another card for women, but when the government of Maestra Delfina Gómez Álvarez began, more than half of the beneficiaries in the State of Mexico were not located.
On behalf of the women who received this support, Martha Rodríguez Cervantes expressed, “we not only received an economic support, but also the possibility to move forward with more strength, this benefit represents hope and one more step towards a better future for our lives and families, as well as a motivation to continue working, studying, or undertaking our projects, we know we are not alone”.
