#SecretaryOf Economy#México. –  The Ministry of Economy, through the Regulations, Competitiveness and Competition Unit (UNCC), held a high-level virtual meeting this Tuesday with the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWE), with the aim of promoting the Mexico-Germany Dialogue on Quality Infrastructure and holding the Annual Meeting, which will take place in November 2025 within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries in 2018.

During the session, on behalf of Mexico, chaired by the Ministry of Economy as the point of contact, through the head of the UNCC, Andrea Genoveva Solano Rendón and on behalf of Germany, the Head of Division of the BMWE, Christina Decker, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to a solid and results-oriented technical cooperation. The dialogue has served as a basis for promoting regulatory harmonization and the elimination of technical barriers to trade between Mexico and Germany.

Other participants included the Directorate General of Standards through the technical team of Lilian Pérez, Sandra Sánchez, Ariel Gutiérrez, Fernanda Alva, Sandra Pacheco and Julio Dias, and the BMWE team of Boris Böhme, Volkmar Stein and Niklas Weber; and from the German Embassy in Mexico, Volker Gutekunst, Economic Counselor.
