We will defend Mexicans with dignity: President on meeting with U.S. president at G7

#GobiernoDeMéxico, #México. –  In Apetatitlán de Antonio Carvajal, Tlaxcala, President Claudia Sheinbaum stressed that in her meeting with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in the framework of the G7 Summit, to be held in Canada, she will defend with dignity the Mexicans living in our territory and in the USA.

«On Monday we are going to a meeting to which we were invited, -because I say in plural, because the people of Mexico go all together-, when the President goes we all go together to international meetings, we are going to represent the people of Mexico with dignity. We are going to a meeting to which we were invited to the G7, it is called, which are the seven developed countries. We were invited to several countries that are not part of this group, such as Brazil, India and other countries that are going to be there, and there we are going to have a meeting with President Trump and his team. I want you to know that we are going to defend the Mexicans here and on the other side of the border with dignity.

«We will always – as Mexicans are, because that is how we are – be firm, with our conviction, but also always with dialogue, always seeking agreements for the well-being of our nations and our peoples. To defend Mexicans and always to say that when we are together we are stronger, when we respect each other we are stronger and that is what we are going to defend. Always with our heads held high, always with gallantry, because we defend and represent the Mexican people.
