#Tlalnepantla, #EstadoDeMéxico. – With the aim of bringing comprehensive and free health services to the most distant communities that need it most, the Government of Tlalnepantla through the Municipal DIF System, launched the “Mobile Medical Units” as part of the program “Health at your Reach, Doctor Matilde Petra Montoya Lafragua”.

Municipal President Raciel Pérez Cruz affirmed that health is a right that is assumed from the local government and this public policy responds to the social demand for quality health services that are provided in a timely manner, dignify the people, provide a solution to the backlog that exists in this area and allow to maintain a longer life expectancy.

«We are working in coordination with the Federal Government presided by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the State Government of Maestra Delfina Gómez Álvarez to overcome this challenge posed to us by the inhabitants of Our City.

“This social program will serve a vulnerable sector and the Mobile Medical Units will be a first containment, they have a preventive purpose of first contact that will be able to channel other types of ailments before the corresponding instances and institutions,” commented Perez Cruz.

Accompanied by the Honorary President of DIF Tlalnepantla Rocio Perez Cruz, the Mayor recalled that in times of pandemic, health personnel were at the forefront with courage and determination, «we recognize the efforts of workers dedicated to the medical sector of our city, you gave the first line that allowed over several months to defeat the COVID-19.

The Deputy Medical Director of Tlalnepantla de Baz Fabiola Ventura Rios pointed out that according to INEGI figures, about 28% of the population of the municipality does not have access to health services or social security institutions, so this program helps to combat this backwardness.

“Salud a tu Alcance responds to this need in a forceful way, through brigades, community outreach and first level medical attention, our mobile units will travel throughout the territory to provide general consultations, preventive follow-up, timely detection of diseases and medical orientation; all at no cost to the beneficiaries,” he said.
