#Tlalnepantla, #EstadoDeMéxico. – This morning there was a landslide of approximately two meters in Cerrada de Aztlán street in La Cantera neighborhood with no injuries, the Government of Tlalnepantla through the Municipal Directorate of Civil Protection and Integrated Risk Management immediately went to the scene to establish prevention and support actions for the affected people.
The head of the agency Mara Pamela Arreguin indicated that this situation originated at approximately 8:20 hours, however, at 8:40 hours the fall of rocks was reported in a house located in Cantera street of the same community; Firefighters, personnel of Integral Risk Management and specialists in the matter made an evaluation that showed the risk of fall of several rocky massifs.
After learning of the imminent danger to which 19 families are exposed due to the risk of landslides as a result of the rains in recent days, the Municipal Government urged the victims to move to one of the temporary shelters set up by DIF Tlalnepantla, or with other family members located in communities out of danger.

“We cannot force anyone to leave their homes, we are giving them a notification card of homes at risk to make them aware of the danger they are exposed to by staying in their homes, we are also scheduling with them, in case they decide not to leave their homes, a training on evacuation and slope movement issues so that they themselves make the relevant revisions or be alert in case there is any situation that modifies their environment,” said Pamela Arreguin.
In response to this emergency, Municipal Government agencies such as the Secretary of Territorial Integration, Urban Infrastructure, DIF Tlalnepantla, among others, are participating; on behalf of the State Government, the Sanitary Jurisdiction, the General Coordination of Civil Protection of the State of Mexico and the area of liaison with Governor Delfina Gomez Alvarez attended; also present from the first moment of the events were elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and the National Guard.
The head of Municipal Civil Protection, made a call to these families settled in irregular lands to “become aware of the dangerous situation that prevails at this time, the issue of falling rocky massifs is high, they are being asked to consider moving to another point, either with friends, family or to accept the support of the municipality through temporary shelters, their lives are the most important thing”.
