#GobiernoDeMéxico, #México.– President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo inaugurated the Villa de Reyes Combined Cycle Power Plant in San Luis Potosí as part of the Sovereign Republic with Sustainable Energy axis of government, which seeks to generate 26 thousand megawatts during the six-year term through the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), the institution where Mexico’s energy development rests.

«And now, we are giving even more capacities to the Federal Electricity Commission, the objective is that during the six-year term we build 26 thousand megawatts of the Federal Electricity Commission, about 60 plants like this one, more or less. The nation’s energy development relies mainly on the Federal Electricity Commission, for years we fought for this to become a reality, we were defending PEMEX, CFE, against the Energy Reform of 2013 and with the reform we made in 2025 CFE is renationalized, it really recovers its essence as a Public Company and as the central axis of generation and transmission in our country», he informed.

He acknowledged the CFE workers who, with conviction and permanent work, defended the company from the privatization promoted by the neoliberal governments of the past.
