The Health Secretary deploys Rapid Response Team against Measles in Chihuahua / @SSalud_mx

#MinistryOfHealth, #Mexico.– As part of the strategy to contain the measles outbreak, the Ministry of Health of the Government of Mexico activated the Rapid Response Team against Measles, in coordination with the Government of the State of Chihuahua and municipal authorities, since with more than 3,400 confirmed cases nationwide, this entity concentrates 95 percent of them.

For this reason, from July 16 to 31, 2025, an intensive vaccination campaign is being carried out, with the objective of reinforcing the vaccination schedules among the population of:

Girls and boys from 6 months to 9 years.

Adolescents and adults up to 49 years old without complete vaccination schedules.For this, two types of brigades have been deployed:

Vaccination brigades: 79 teams made up of 169 vaccination personnel are conducting house-to-house sweeps in Chihuahua city, Cuauhtémoc, Bachíniva, Carichí, Juárez, Delicias, and Parral. These teams are composed of nursing staff, vaccinators, and health promoters who are properly trained.

Epidemiological brigades: 32 specialists carry out active surveillance and case detection in communities with high mobility or transmission risk.
