#Monterrey, #NuevoLeón, #Mexico.- One hundred and four new auxiliary guards are joining the force of the Monterrey Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection starting today.

Mayor Adrián de la Garza Santos swore in the graduates in a ceremony that featured a double celebration: their graduation and the fifth anniversary of the municipal academy.

In addition to congratulating them, he recognized their effort, sacrifice, and discipline in completing their training.

«You will have the responsibility of ensuring that the citizens of Monterrey feel calm, at peace, and safe. You will be in every neighborhood and public space that your commanders will assign to you, and you will have that responsibility.

«But the important thing is that you have the training, you have the tools. We will spare no resources to ensure that you have what you need, so that you can perform to the best of your ability,» the mayor stated.
