Atizapán de Zaragoza celebrates color and tradition at the Intermunicipal Folk Dance Meeting / @Pedro_RVillegas @GobAtizapan
#AtizapánDeZaragoza, #StateOfMexico.- This weekend, the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza in the State of Mexico (#Edomex) dressed up to celebrate the Intermunicipal Folkloric Dance Gathering, an event that united the sister municipalities of Nicolás Romero, Ecatepec de Morelos, and Atizapán, which served as host, in a vibrant celebration of color and tradition.
This initiative, promoted by the government of Mayor Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, reaffirms the administration’s commitment to promoting culture as a fundamental tool for rebuilding the social fabric and fostering healthy coexistence among Atizapán families.
The Director of Social Development, Julio César Martínez, who was present at the event, highlighted the importance of creating these spaces. «Thanks to the support of our President, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, we make these gatherings possible, which not only spread our beautiful traditions but also strengthen community ties and offer our children and youth positive alternatives for their development,» the director noted.
The stage vibrated with the talent of extraordinary groups that delighted those present with a journey through national folklore, including the Atizapán de Zaragoza Children’s and Youth Folk Dance Company, the Jeshua Folk Dance Ballet, the Itoktli Folk Dance Company, the Nicolás Romero Folk Dance Ballet, and the Tetonalli Folk Dance Company.
