Let’s go for a pothole-free Miguel Hidalgo: Tabe launches volunteer operation / @mauriciotabe @AlcaldiaMHmx

#AlcaldíaMiguelHidalgo#México.-  Mauricio Tabe, Mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, announced the deployment of a special operation of «AntibachesMH» brigades, made up of staff and volunteers from different areas of the mayor’s office. They will take to the streets to repair more than 1,700 potholes on secondary roads in the district.

«Today we are putting in a lot of administrative work, a lot of pothole filling, a lot of operational work, so that together we can achieve a Zero Potholes mayor’s office and be an example in Mexico City,» he stated.

He indicated that the first operation will take place next Friday, August 8th. 29 teams, including volunteers and staff from the Executive Directorate of Urban Services, will leave their desks to take to the streets and fill 100 potholes daily, reaching the goal in approximately three weeks.

«We’re going pothole by pothole, street by street, with the goal of filling all the potholes in the city hall in three weeks, even during the rainy season. We’re going to get away from our desks and take to the streets, get to work, and tackle the potholes. Together, we’re going to put a lot of effort into this problem.»

Tabe said that all budgetary adjustments and savings are being channeled toward filling the potholes.
