Raciel Pérez promotes education with bimonthly scholarships for youth in Tlalnepantla / @RacielPerezC_ @Gob_Tlalne >>
#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #StateOfMexico.- More than 1,100 young people between the ages of 18 and 29, pursuing bachelor’s or graduate degrees, are benefiting from the municipal program «Youth Making History.» They will receive a total of 5,600 pesos in financial support to support their academic development and give them the opportunity to realize their dreams.
Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz stated that every effort will be made to ensure that this program, which provides 1,400 pesos bimonthly to beneficiaries, continues throughout his administration, as it is essential to support and address the needs of young people.
He added that the Municipal Government strives for the well-being of young people through cross-cutting efforts involving various agencies such as the Tlalnepantla DIF (National Institute of Culture and Community Arts); the Municipal Welfare Directorate; the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sports; and the Municipal Youth Institute, to name a few, all of which are tasked with providing favorable development opportunities to this segment of the population.
Pérez Cruz emphasized that, at the local level, public policies address issues affecting youth, such as the prevention of addictions and premature pregnancies, harmful substance use, and school dropouts, among others, that prevent them from achieving their goals. He also pledged to redouble his efforts to be close to them in order to understand and address their needs and concerns.

From the Federal Government, the Mayor stated that actions have also been promoted to open more doors for them, such as the «Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro» program and the «Rita Cetina» and «Benito Juárez» scholarships. All of this has benefited millions of girls, boys, and young people, who are currently a priority for federal, state, and municipal authorities.
The Mayor criticized the fact that, for several decades, children and youth were abandoned and neglected, a situation that led to significant social backwardness. It was during the six-year term of former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador that this sector gained prominence on the public agenda with programs specifically designed to promote their development. This vision continues today with the Federal Government, headed by Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and which has prevented young people from becoming «cannon fodder for criminal groups.»
«The transformation of our country will be with the youth, or it will not be,» said Jezabel Delgado Flores, head of the Welfare Department, as she spoke. She asserted that this government is working to guarantee young people’s access to their civil, political, social, economic, and cultural rights.
