#Tecámac, #StateOfMexico.- Tecámac Municipal President Rosi Wong Romero led the Firefighter’s Day celebration, presenting recognition to members of the civil protection team who have distinguished themselves through their work, presenting new equipment, and launching six new ambulances.
She highlighted the work done by all members of the municipality’s civil protection team—firefighters, paramedics, and others—in assisting the population in risky situations, including animal rescues.
Accompanied by Senator Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, Federal Representative Patricia Galindo, and Local Representative Samuel Hernández, as well as the General Coordinator of Civil Protection and Firefighters, Luis Manuel del Rio, she thanked them for their courage and deep dedication to service.

«Being a firefighter involves much more than facing the flames; it means being a pillar of trust in the most critical moments for the population,» she told the just over 90 municipal civil protection personnel.
He indicated that this year has been a year of progress and strengthening of the area, citing as an example the delivery of new ambulances, in addition to courses, talks in schools, and multi-brigade training sessions, efforts that have enabled 8,802 people to be trained in the subject, promoting a culture of prevention.
In his speech, Gutiérrez Escalante emphasized that their work is synonymous with courage and unwavering commitment. They put their lives at risk to safeguard the lives of others. «Their heroism is not a choice, but a vocation,» he added.
