#FederalGovernment, #Mexico.- The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Economy and the Government of the State of Tlaxcala, announced the construction of an Economic Development Hub for Well-being (#PODECOBI) in the municipality of Huamantla, with an investment of $540 million, which will generate up to 6,000 jobs.
President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo recalled that Plan Mexico aims to increase domestic production to strengthen domestic consumption, that is, to generate economic growth with Shared Prosperity, reflected in well-paying jobs, housing close to work centers, with access to basic services, schools, and public transportation.
“Plan Mexico aims to produce more for the domestic market, yes, for export, but also for the domestic market, and the Development Hubs for Well-being are a national planning effort. It is a vision of development for the country and is accompanied by a Made in Mexico campaign. For a long time, it was said that Made in Mexico is well done, but now it is, Made in Mexico is better done,” she stated during the morning press conference, “Las mañaneras del pueblo” (The People’s Morning Press Conference).
Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon pointed out that the Development Hub, located in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, covers 53 hectares and already has investment projects from subsidiaries of Mexican, German, and North American companies. Its creation is estimated to generate up to 6,000 jobs starting in 2026.
