#Celaya, #Guanajuato.- As part of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Celaya Fire Department, and with the aim of strengthening its operational capacity to respond to emergencies, the Municipal Government, in collaboration with the Guanajuato State Firefighters Association, acquired a new unit.

This Monday, at the end of the weekly civic event to honor the flag, Mayor  Juan Miguel Ramírez Sánchez handed over the new fire truck, which is now serving the people of Celaya.

The Director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, Salomón Ocampo, described the new unit as a «Heavy Rescue» type truck, a heavy and technical rescue vehicle, acquired through the Municipality of Celaya and the Guanajuato State Firefighters Association.

“This unit represents an advance in our emergency response capacity. It will be equipped with equipment for vehicle rescue, hazardous materials, vertical rescue, water rescue, trench rescue, collapsed structure rescue, and confined space rescue, allowing us to respond to situations more quickly, efficiently, and safely, just as the public deserves,” said the Director of Civil Protection, adding:

“Today, with this heavy rescue vehicle, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the physical integrity of people, their property, and the environment. Thank you, Mr. President, for your trust, thank you to the City Council, and for supporting us at this important time.”
