#CuautitlánIzcalli, #StateOfMexico.- With the goal of reinforcing a culture of prevention and strengthening emergency protocols, the Cuautitlán Izcalli government actively participated in the 2025 National Drill. Nearly 966 people, including public officials and visitors, evacuated government facilities. All centralized agencies and decentralized organizations participated with order and commitment. Coordination was key to the smooth conduct of the exercise.
This drill, conducted in commemoration of the 1985 and 2017 earthquakes, measured response times to a potential real emergency. The average evacuation time was 3 minutes and 10 seconds. The City Hall was the building with the longest evacuation time. However, all exits were carried out safely and without incident.
Municipal President Daniel Serrano Palacios emphasized the importance of the exercise, which also activated seismic alerts on thousands of cell phones. He also highlighted the use of alarms installed at strategic points throughout the country. In Cuautitlán Izcalli, all public buildings participated without incident. The staff’s response was efficient and organized.

As part of the protocol, five injured people were simulated at the Municipal Palace. They were transported in less than five minutes to the ISSEMYM clinic, located within the municipality. After the exercise, the staff returned to their usual duties. The experience strengthened care and response capabilities.
Among the notable times, Operagua evacuated 446 people in one minute and 40 seconds. At the Municipal DIF (District of Infirmary), 54 people were evacuated in two minutes and 30 seconds. The Maternal and Child Clinic completed its evacuation in just 48 seconds. These results reflect the institutional commitment to civil protection and citizen well-being.
