#FederalGovernment, #Mexico.- President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo visited Zacatecas, where, before 15,000 people, she emphasized that with the Fourth Transformation, Mexico reached the lowest poverty levels in its history, thanks to the Welfare Programs and the increase in the minimum wage.
«Poverty is still at 30 percent; that’s still a lot, but compared to Mexico’s entire history, it’s the lowest level of poverty in history. That’s the magnitude of the Fourth Transformation,» she reported.
She recalled that, in six years, from 2018 to 2024, a historic achievement was achieved, led by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador: 13.5 million Mexicans were lifted out of poverty.
He reported that in Zacatecas, 825,221 people receive one of the Well-being Programs, with a social investment of 13.904 billion pesos (mdp): 195,075 people are entitled to the Pension for the Well-being of Older Adults; 34,078 to the Pension for People with Disabilities; 9,954 to Young People Building the Future; 3,250 to Young People Writing the Future; 57,941 to Benito Juárez scholarships; almost 8,000 to support girls and boys; 68,300 to Production for Well-being; 5,482 to Guaranteed Prices; 405 to Sowing Life; 60,000 with Free Fertilizers; 1,850 elementary schools and 70 high schools with The School is Ours; 67,185 high school students with the Rita Cetina scholarship and 40,800 women will receive the Women’s Well-being Pension.
She highlighted the historic 70 percent reduction in homicides and the support provided to bean producers through the Seed Producer for Well-being (PROSEBIEN) to reach the goal of 300,000 tons and stop importing beans; the direct funding for indigenous communities through the Fund for Social Infrastructure Contributions for Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples (FAISPIAM); the reduction of Infonavit debts for the benefit of 40,000 beneficiaries; and projects such as the construction of the Milpillas Dam, which will be carried out with the consensus of the communities; the repaving of federal highways; and a new campus for the Rosario Castellanos National University (UNRC).
