In Mexico City, the Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office launches a free rabies vaccination program at the CAVAC / @LuisMendozaBJ @BJAlcaldia

#ÁlcaldíaBenitoJuárez#MexicoCity.- In commemoration of World Rabies Day, the Benito Juárez Municipality has launched a Free Rabies Vaccination Week through its Companion Animal Veterinary Care Center (#CAVAC). The main objective of this initiative is to raise community awareness about the importance of prevention and protecting the health of pets, which in turn directly impacts public health. The campaign highlights the Municipality’s commitment to providing essential and accessible services.

Mayor Luis Mendoza emphasized the priority his administration places on animal welfare. «In Benito Juárez, we promote actions so that families and their pets can live better,» he stated, emphasizing that caring for animals is a shared responsibility. The Municipality’s commitment is to guarantee quality and affordable veterinary services, since «caring for them also means caring for the health of our community,» reaffirming that animal health is a fundamental pillar of social coexistence.

During the kickoff event, Karina Magaña, Director General of Human Development and Substantive Equality, expressed her satisfaction with the residents’ participation. «Caring for pets is an act of love and sensitivity,» she commented, emphasizing that the mayor’s office will continue to create conditions for the well-being of pets. The official concluded, «If they’re well, so are we,» reiterating that pets are an integral part of the community and their health is essential for collective well-being.
