“Love that Educates” is a resounding success in Salamanca, Guanajuato / @DIFsalamanca @GobSalamanca

#Salamanca, #StateOfGuanajuato.- The Salamanca DIF System, under the direction of Ms. Eugenia Leonor Martínez Carrillo, has successfully implemented the «Love that Educates» campaign, far exceeding the goal of previous years thanks to the solidarity of the community. With the firm vision of building a better future through educational support, this noble initiative resulted in the delivery of 9,252 school supplies to vulnerable children and adolescents.

This significant effort, promoted by the administration of Mayor César Ernesto Prieto Gallardo, raised an impressive total of 129,422 essential school supplies for the school year. The collection took place between June 23 and September 4 and was notable for the active participation of 116 donors, including companies, institutions, and citizens committed to the cause of education.

The impact of «Amor que Educa» was truly remarkable, as this year’s coverage more than fivefold compared to 2024, when 1,834 school kits were delivered. This significant expansion brought hope and learning tools to those most in need, reaching dozens of neighborhoods and communities in the municipality of Salamanca. Social coverage reached historic levels.

The school kits reached areas as diverse as Valtierrilla, Uruétaro, El Calabozo, Barlovento, Benito Juárez, and Sardinas, ensuring coverage in both priority rural and urban areas. With this initiative, the Salamanca DIF reaffirms its unwavering commitment to education as a true engine of social change and recognizes citizens as key players in building a more empathetic, just, and participatory society.
