The Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office delivered direct financial support to affected families, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to responding to their needs with concrete actions. Mayor Luis Mendoza led the distribution, emphasizing that «no aid is enough in the face of what they have experienced, but it is important to do our part without pretense.» This support represents a true demonstration of political will and neighborhood empathy.

The total amount allocated to affected families amounts to $640,000 pesos, with individual support of $20,000 pesos for each household to cover unforeseen expenses. Luis Mendoza expressed his desire to continue building community, emphasizing that the officials, being neighbors, are empathetic to the problems. «Today more than ever we have to support them directly, and that will be my intention; you will be supported by this mayor’s office,» stated the mayor.

From the beginning of the incident, the Benito Juárez City Hall provided immediate assistance, including food, lodging, and a temporary shelter on its premises, along with specialized support. Karen Mathus, a resident of the building, acknowledged the invaluable support and solidarity received, emphasizing that the financial assistance will allow them to «cover expenses we hadn’t planned for.» This institutional action was essential to address basic needs during the initial phase of the emergency.

Another resident, Ana Gabriela Peña, thanked the City Hall staff for acting with care, respect, and empathy during the emergency, highlighting the value of the support and assistance provided. «Having your presence… has given us not only the security we needed in the first instance, but also the hope that everything will be better,» she expressed gratefully.
