#AlcaldíaCoyoacán, #MéxicoCity.- Mayor Giovani Gutiérrez Aguilar presented his government report, emphatically asserting Coyoacán’s position as «the best borough in Mexico City». His First Report specifically concentrated on Human Rights and Priority Groups, where the mayor stressed: «In Coyoacán we promote inclusion in all its dimensions, placing emphasis on those who require it most«. This commitment translated into public policy directly aimed at supporting key sectors, including women, senior citizens, and the «LGBTIQ+» population.

The Mayor of Coyoacán, CDMX, further elaborated that his administration successfully implemented a range of actions targeted at boosting economic conditions, health services, and citizen care for these aforementioned priority groups. As a direct result of these «4 years Of Good Results», the borough, in partnership with FUCAM Breast Cancer organisation, provided over 6,000 free mammograms. Furthermore, 19 «Rutas Violeta» initiatives were executed, offering vital health services and legal guidance on fundamental human rights.

In the employment sector, Mayor Giovani Gutiérrez highlighted the establishment of the Annual Employment Fair for Diversity and Inclusion, a crucial event that successfully offered residents 6,500 job vacancies. These comprehensive efforts were additionally supported by providing integral care for senior citizens via the Casas del Adulto Mayor, where 250 activities were conducted, benefiting 450 older adults within the borough on a daily basis.

The promotion of community cohesion and social recreation was also a major feature of the report, notably the hosting of 31 Danzón Afternoons, which collectively drew an attendance of 17,000 people. The immense popularity of these leisure activities was evident when the borough «broke a record with more than 2,600 attendees at the Danzón Marathon, in a single day», clearly illustrating the positive and tangible impact on the local social fabric and community spirit.

Finally, the Mayor outlined the borough’s preparatory status ahead of the upcoming global sports event, officially declaring Coyoacán «formally ready to receive millions of visitors» for the 2026 World Cup. With actions already underway and close coordination with local and federal governments, Mayor Giovani Gutiérrez Aguilar concluded that the borough will be, «as always, the best hosts on planet earth», guaranteeing an exceptional welcome for international guests.
