“Collaboration Is Key”: Puebla Launches Coordinated Effort for El Buen Fin Under Governor Armenta’s Leadership / @armentapuebla_ @Gob_Puebla

#Puebla#México.-  The government led by Governor Alejandro Armenta announced its active and coordinated participation with business chambers and shopping centres across the state to ensure the successful development of the fifteenth edition of El Buen Fin. At a press conference on Friday, the Secretary of Economic Development and Labour, Víctor Gabriel Chedraui, stated that the strategy aims to protect consumers, strengthen the popular economy, and encourage smart shopping among families in Puebla. Inter-institutional collaboration is seen as the key to the success of this commercial event.

Secretary Gabriel Chedraui explained that monitoring responsibilities will fall to PROFECO, which will deploy special operations and service modules (“ConciliaExprés”) in the main commercial areas and shopping centres. In addition, businesses will strengthen their internal supervision teams to prevent abuse, price inflation, or misleading advertising. The objective is to ensure transparency and fairness in all commercial transactions.

It was also confirmed that the national El Buen Fin platform will take place from 13 to 17 November, strategically coinciding with the long weekend marking the 20 November commemoration. This alignment offers an exceptional opportunity for families in Puebla to make responsible and purposeful purchases, taking advantage of the holiday period. The timing of these dates is expected to maximise consumer turnout and sales.

Regarding economic projections, Gabriel Chedraui reported that the expected results for 2025 estimate that, nationwide, the event will generate economic revenue of 200 billion pesos. For Puebla, the target is set at 5.8 billion pesos, representing an estimated growth of 9 per cent compared with the previous year. This period is vital, as for many MiPyMEs it accounts for between 15 and 30 per cent of their annual sales, thus strengthening competitiveness and formal employment.

During the presentation of the monitoring and promotion plan, several industry leaders were present, highlighting the public–private alliance within the state. Attendees included the Director of the Consumer Protection Office, Uriel Erazo García; the President of CANACO Puebla, Juan Pablo Cisneros Madrid; the President of COPARMEX Puebla, Beatriz Camacho Ruiz; and the Executive Director of the Association of Shopping Centres of Puebla, Andrés de la Luz Espinoza. The joint efforts confirm the multisectoral commitment to supporting the local economy.
