The Federal Government opens new ISSSTE Family Medicine Clinics and strengthens healthcare services in Tecámac / @Claudiashein @GobiernoMX
#FederalGovernment, #Mexico.- The President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, officially opened the “Juana Belén Gutiérrez Chávez” and “Héroes Tecámac” Family Medicine Clinics in Tecámac, marking a vital step for public health in the State of Mexico. This initiative dramatically increases the municipality’s healthcare capacity, upgrading from a single Family Care Centre to a robust facility with ten general practice rooms, ten specialist rooms, twenty registered beds, and three operating theatres, fulfilling the pledge to enhance health services.
The President firmly defended the investment in public institutions, recalling that the Fourth Transformation eliminated major medical expense insurance for trusted officials from 2018, rerouting these funds to the public ISSSTE system for all State workers, because «healthcare services are consistently improving» when there is a commitment to the people.
The ISSSTE General Director, Martí Batres Guadarrama, confirmed the new complexes, facilitated by municipal cooperation, significantly boost specialist care, with “Juana Belén Gutiérrez Chávez” already offering gynaecology and ophthalmology, and “Héroes Tecámac” adding trauma and gastroenterology for the direct benefit of eligible citizens.
Batres Guadarrama summarised the goal: this effort is part of a project ensuring universal, free, and high-quality public healthcare, which provides «substantial public infrastructure is at the service of the population» and the working class.
