This metamorphosis is underpinned by a holistic community engagement strategy that has successfully established reliable and readily available reporting mechanisms for every resident. His administration eriges itself upon the premise that genuine security is cultivated through mutual trust and collective action, a vision both resolute and cohesive.

This ambitious undertaking is visibly manifested through the deployment of the Neighbourhood Security Networks Project, an initiative stressing the vital importance of citizen participation in crime prevention. To date, 180 networks have been formed across various districts, directly benefiting 14,207 individuals. Furthermore, demonstrating institutional foresight, a crucial support network has been established for women already subject to protective measures, following serious incidents of violence. A policy both pragmatic and emblematic of inclusive governance.

In a parallel move to community organising, the Preventour for Peace Programme was launched, reaching 40 localities with educational and recreational activities. The clear objective was to mitigate the risk factors that might propel the population towards criminal behaviour. This dynamic social outreach programme enjoyed widespread acceptance, recording the participation of approximately 50,000 residents of the city. The administration’s commitment extends to offering crucial assistance to the most vulnerable segments of society, with a total of 735 cases of women victims of gender violence receiving support and guidance to file their complaints. Simultaneously, the arduous task of searching for and locating 180 missing or absent persons was managed, including 36 cases concerning women deemed to be at risk. A mission both arduous and humanitarian, reflecting the municipality’s dedication to justice.

Looking ahead to 2025, the Mayor’s vision involves the creation of an «integral model», to embed citizen involvement, particularly through the establishment of «three territories of peace» in strategic, high-incidence areas of the municipality’s eastern sector. This structured approach seeks to directly address and reverse prevailing crime trends. A strategy paradigmatic and innovative that aspires to reshape the social fabric.
