By revoking these titles, the administration has successfully restored the integrity of 249,108 hectares specifically located within sensitive biological corridors.

The Secretary of Economy, #MarceloEbrardCasaubon, emphasized that this initiative targets licenses that were dormant, unpaid, or held for merely speculative purposes. These administrative actions restore authority over vast regions in states like Sonora, Durango, and Coahuila, where land had been tied up without contributing to the national interest. Under the guidance of Fernando José Aboitiz Saro, the government is now fostering a voluntary return policy through diplomatic engagement with the private sector.

Beyond land management, the federal government has solidified its stance on strategic resources such as lithium, asserting that its extraction remains an exclusive prerogative of the State. The President remains firm in her conviction that “Mexico’s mineral reserves belong to Mexico,” a principle enshrined in the Constitution that is not open to negotiation.
