(#SafeNaucalpan – #CrimePrevention) *** #NaucalpanDeJuárez, #StateOfMexico.- The municipality of #Naucalpan is strengthening its prevention and surveillance strategy by expanding the operational capabilities of the #NaucalpanMunicipalGuard, headed by Commissioner #JoséCarlosQuezadaRomán, who maintains coordination with #Security institutions across all three levels of government, under the direction of Mayor #IsaacMontoyaMárquez. Territorial deployment, emergency response, and the use of technological tools form an articulated strategy designed to address the needs of families in Naucalpan. This effort is further supported by the expansion of the patrol fleet, the incorporation of new personnel, and the development of video surveillance systems, components that reinforce a more permanent police presence throughout the municipality.
The results reflected in the security assessment show variations in several crime indicators over recent years. According to the figures cited, high-impact crimes decreased by 35.8 percent between 2024 and 2025, while theft of insured vehicles fell by 63.3 percent between 2024 and 2026. At the same time, the force increased its operational capacity, growing from approximately 120 to more than 400 patrol vehicles and adding 100 new officers, with another 100 cadets expected to join after completing their training. «This professionalization process seeks to strengthen the institutional response and expand the capacity to serve the public,» explained José Carlos Quezada Román.
Technological modernization has also become a preponderant component of this strategy, through the gradual expansion of the video surveillance network and the development of specialized infrastructure for urban monitoring. The municipality is working to expand from the 65 cameras available at the beginning of the administration to a network of up to 1,200 devices connected to the new C4 command center in the municipal seat. At the same time, former Tecalli facilities are being restored to operate as Control Centers, connected to the C4 and monitoring strategic locations in an avant-garde effort to improve surveillance and response capabilities.

Citizen perception represents another relevant indicator in this process: between March and June 2026, the percentage of residents who reported feeling unsafe in Naucalpan declined from 80.8 to 71 percent. During the same period, decreases were reported in several crimes, while construction of the new C4 continued, designed to expand surveillance capabilities through technology and real-time monitoring. These measures were accompanied by the removal of nearly 200 officers for conduct contrary to public service and institutional principles, as part of an effort toward internal cleansing and institutional strengthening, according to José Carlos Quezada Román.
The strengthening of the Municipal Guard is complemented by recognition of personnel involved in security and citizen-service duties. The Municipal Government presented awards to 40 members of the municipal force and 20 State Police officers for their performance and participation in security operations, highlighting the meritorious nature of public service. With greater operational capacity, technological infrastructure, and interinstitutional coordination, Naucalpan continues to pursue an integrated strategy aimed at strengthening its prevention and response mechanisms.
