In Edomex, Mayor Sergio Luna Cortés drives the road renovation in La Mitra to improve mobility in Tultepec / @Edomex

(#YearOfPublicWorksInEdomex – #PublicWorks) *** #Tultepec, #StateOfMexico.– The municipality of Tultepec is ushering in a new phase of #UrbanModernization with the launch of rehabilitation works on the second carriageway of #LaMitraAvenue, extending to the entrance of La Antigua. The project is being led by Municipal President, Prof. #SergioLunaCortés. “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together,” said Vincent van Gogh, a reflection that underscores the value of concrete actions in building collective well-being. This intervention represents a momentous step toward improving municipal connectivity and consolidating a more efficient #RoadInfrastructure, in line with the strategy for #SustainableMobility and the strengthening of Tultepec’s road network. At the groundbreaking ceremony, Sergio Luna Cortés emphasized the importance of implementing projects that address residents’ needs and promote the municipality’s orderly development.

The project includes replacing the existing asphalt pavement with high-durability hydraulic concrete, upgrading public lighting, and planting additional trees to enhance the urban environment. These measures aim to provide a safer, more functional, and environmentally responsible roadway through a forward-thinking intervention designed to optimize everyday travel. Accompanied by municipal officials and local auxiliary authorities, the mayor underscored that the project forms part of a public policy agenda focused on strengthening infrastructure and improving residents’ quality of life. “We continue building better roads for a Tultepec with greater order, mobility, and well-being,” stated Sergio Luna Cortés.

The renovation of La Mitra Avenue builds on the improvements previously undertaken along Toluca Avenue and helps consolidate a more integrated transportation network for Tultepec residents. The use of durable materials, improved lighting, and additional vegetation reflects principles of sustainability and urban planning, both essential to creating functional, long-lasting public spaces. Through this initiative, Sergio Luna Cortés reaffirms his commitment to promoting public works that encourage orderly growth and address the community’s mobility needs. “Our goal is to ensure that every public works project translates into tangible benefits for Tultepec families,” noted the municipal president.

“We will continue working to ensure that Tultepec has better roads and public services that meet the needs of its people,” stated Sergio Luna Cortés.

In my opinion, implementing infrastructure projects in Tultepec represents a constructive commitment to strengthening connectivity, facilitating travel, and fostering a safer urban environment. Furthermore, incorporating environmentally conscious features and long-lasting construction solutions makes this initiative a commendable undertaking, whose ultimate value will depend on proper execution, ongoing maintenance, and tangible benefits for the community.

The modernization of La Mitra Avenue marks a significant step toward a Tultepec with durable infrastructure and more efficient mobility, conditions that promote development and enhance residents’ well-being. As Antonio Machado wrote, “Traveler, there is no road; the road is made by walking”—a phrase that invites us to recognize the value of moving forward through concrete actions and shared goals. #TransformingTultepec
