Cecut will offer various activities to keep visible the creative role of women in the arts

#SecretaríaDeCultura.- Performing arts, concerts, films, readings aloud, workshops, lectures and theater are part of the Women in the Arts Program, which will be presented by Cecut in March to celebrate International Women’s Day.

This program will be part of the activities of the festival ¡Qué vivan las mujeres! March 2022, sponsored nationally by Mexico’s Ministry of Culture, of which Centro Cultural Tijuana is an organism, and which seeks to make visible the creative presence of women in all kinds of artistic and cultural disciplines.

Promoting gender equality and ending all types of violence against women were some of the reasons that led the United Nations (UN) to establish the commemoration of International Women’s Day, the significance of this date has led Cecut to create a program throughout the month of March dedicated to artists and creators.

The program Women in the Arts at Cecut will begin on Saturday, March 5 with the presentation of LEMOV Laboratorio en Movimiento, offered by the company Teatro en el Incendio directed by Briseida López Inzunza.
