#GobiernoDeMéxico.- Between December 2023 and January 2024, highway robbery fell by 1.09 percent, which is why the National Guard’s vigilance continues in order to contain this crime, affirmed the Secretary of the Navy, José Rafael Ojeda Durán.

In response to the demands of users and carriers, the Mexican Government maintains the deployment of 210 troops and 107 vehicles on four priority highway stretches: Mexico-Queretaro, Arco Norte, Amozoc-Perote and Nochixtlán-Cuacnopalan.

In addition, security personnel prevent crimes such as highway robbery on federal and state highways in ten priority states: State of Mexico, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala and Veracruz, he said at a morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
