Hundreds of visitors came to witness the eclipse at the Ecatepec Planetarium / @Ecatepec >>>

#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- Hundreds of residents of Ecatepec and visitors from neighboring municipalities such as Coacalco, Tultitlán, Tecámác and even from Mexico City, came this Monday to the planetarium El Gran Ehécatl, Los Hijos del Dios del Viento to witness the solar eclipse.

In the place, the government of Ecatepec installed telescopes for the free and safe observation of the partial solar eclipse.

Also, in the dome of the planetarium there were projections and talks for the knowledge of the origin of eclipses.

«Since its inauguration, the planetarium ‘The Great Ehecatl’, has allowed children and young people to understand and above all learn about some astrological phenomena as in this case we were fortunate to witness a solar eclipse after 33 years, after the phenomenon that Mexicans witnessed in 1991,» said the municipal president by operation of law, Angelica Gabriela Lopez Hernandez.

Acoyani Baroco Bonilla, coordinator of activities and in charge of the municipal planetarium, commented that for the first time the ecatepenses and visitors to the observatory were able to see an eclipse with the necessary technology, thanks to the construction of the planetarium in the municipality.

«Today we have the fortune to experience this astronomical phenomenon, an eclipse at least in this area of the country, partial solar eclipse and we are very happy to welcome you all observing this eclipse with several direct and indirect methods, inside the planetarium we are providing some dynamic exhibitions with all the theory of this phenomenon,» he reiterated.
