#SECTUR.- The ceremony took place within the framework of the Tianguis Turístico México 2024, which was held from April 8 to 12 in the port of Acapulco, Guerrero, and was also attended by the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda; the president of the Association of Secretaries of Tourism (Asetur) and secretary of Tourism of Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado, among other state secretaries of Tourism and special guests.

This recognition is granted to tourism service providers who year after year strive to innovate their tourism offer in different destinations in the country.
The head of Sectur indicated that, in his office, it is clear that with unique, differentiating and impactful products in the localities, the attention of national and international tourists is attracted, which increases the flow of tourism and the country’s economic revenue.

The Award for Innovation in the Mexican Tourism Product 2024 recognizes the work of service providers that contribute to gender equality, non-discrimination and accessibility, as well as to diversifying and expanding Mexico’s tourism offer. On this occasion, there were six categories: cultural, nature, romance, sports, health and wellness, and gastronomic tourism.

Through this distinction, the winners are encouraged and stimulated to maintain high quality standards, and the rest of the participants are encouraged to redouble their efforts to improve.
