#IMSS.- The federal government, through IMSS-Bienestar, announced the call to hire 5,799 specialist nurses, which will be available from May 9 to 31 at profesionalesdelasalud.imssbienestar.gob.mx for the 23 federalized states and the Regional High Specialty Hospitals of Yucatan and Guanajuato.

During the press conference led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador from the National Palace, the director general of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, stressed that it is very important to cover surgical, intensive care and neonatal care nurses, who play a fundamental role in the operation of the second and third levels of care.

“We invite them to sign up, the truth is that it is the backbone of the operation of a health system to have full specialist nurses in all services, the same in surgical areas, intensive care and hospitalization.”

In another vein, he reported that as of May 16, five thousand 774 general practitioners will be integrated to three thousand 651 health centers and one thousand 884 specialist doctors to 211 hospitals located in areas with high and very high marginalization.

“These are comprehensive community hospitals in highly marginalized areas; therefore, the 1,884 doctors will have an additional bonus, a bonus salary to fulfill this mission. In addition, they are direct positions, that is to say, these people are already hired with a base from IMSS-Bienestar itself.”
