#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Secretary of Urban Development and Infrastructure (Sedui) of the Government of the State of Mexico announced that the municipalities of Texcoco, Nezahualcoyotl and El Oro have updated their Municipal Urban Development Plans (PMDU) for 2024.

With these three plans, the State of Mexico has 49 municipalities that have updated these regulatory instruments, where more than 12.3 million inhabitants live.

In this regard, the Secretary of Urban Development and Infrastructure, Carlos Maza Lara, said that the General Directorate of Urban Planning is in charge of supporting the municipalities with technical advice, so that they comply with the provisions of the State Development Plan and the General Law of Human Settlements, Land Planning and Urban Development.

Highlighting that 119 municipalities in the State of Mexico have a PMDU, the Secretary invited the City Councils to approach Sedui so that their perspectives of urban order and growth can transcend and positively influence the municipal, metropolitan, state and national environments.

It is worth mentioning that Texcoco, Nezahualcóyotl and El Oro published their plans in April of this year; therefore, in order to facilitate their consultation, Sedui makes them available to the public at: https://sedui.edomex.gob.mx/planes_municipales_de_desarrollo_urbano.
