#ISSSTE.- The transformation project of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) requires the sum and commitment of the more than 31,000 specialists who make up the nursing staff. “We need all of you to advance in the nationalization of services and improve the care provided to 13.5 million beneficiaries,” said the director general.

As part of the commemoration of International Nursing Day, the closing ceremony of the National Nursing Congress was held today, in which, before representatives of this profession from different medical units of the Institute throughout the country, the Director General emphasized that without the support of the personnel, it will be very difficult to move this project forward.

In the Benito Coquet auditorium of the Inter-American Conference on Social Security (CISS), where the hymn of nursing was sung and reference was made to the light of this medical area, the director general pointed out that Issste is going through a period of changes to overcome the vices and corruption generated in the past, but also of transparency and progress in the construction of hospitals in Baja California, Coahuila, Chiapas, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco and Tamaulipas; hiring to fill more than six thousand positions, including nursing positions; maintenance of medical units, equipment, installation of operating rooms and refurbishment of laboratories.

He pointed out that nationalization implies recovering the public sector, such as anesthesia, hemodynamics and blood bank services, an action that will require the hiring of 700 nursing positions to replace tasks that are currently performed in the integral services.
