Governor Delfina Gómez instructs to extend “Operativo Violeta” to more municipalities / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- At the instruction of Maestra Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Governor of the State of Mexico, the Violet Operations have expanded their coverage and will be implemented in more municipalities in the state, giving priority to the 11 districts that have a Gender Violence Alert Declaration.

“We are implementing this Operativo Violeta for all municipalities, as in the case of La Paz, we are also implementing Operativo Violeta within this municipality that does not have a Gender Violence Alert. It is to provide security to all women, men, boys and girls so that they can move freely within the municipality,” explained Yésica Yanet Rayo Medina, Gender Police of the State of Mexico.

In La Paz, security was reinforced at public transportation stops, schools, public spaces and patrols in 10 neighborhoods that concentrate the highest incidence of crime.

From April to May, Operation Violet has been implemented in the municipalities of Toluca, Nezahualcoyotl, Valle de Chalco and Tlalnepantla, municipalities that have a Gender Alert Declaration.

In coordination with the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and the Municipal Police, security has been reinforced in 85 neighborhoods, 162 public transportation stops, 155 public spaces and 15 calls for help have been received.
