GEM strengthens values of the New Mexican School through art and culture / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI) organized the Encounter of Artistic Manifestations: “Culture, Magic and Traditions”, with the participation of 900 students from 18 Fine Arts Schools (EBA) from 15 municipalities in the State of Mexico.

This reaffirms the commitment of the government of Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez to strengthen the values of the New Mexican School by promoting art and culture through education.

The event took place over two days at the “Elisa Carrillo” Theater of the Centro Cultural Mexiquense Bicentenario (CCMB) in Texcoco, where approximately 2,000 spectators attended.

The program began with the inauguration and a tour of the Plastic Arts Gallery, followed by a performance by the Big Band Jazz Orchestra, directed by Fernando Bobadilla Vilchis and made up of students from the EBAs of Ixtapaluca, Nezahualcóyotl, Texcoco I and Tultepec.

There was also a Mexican Folkloric Dance show, which included choreographic fusions with contemporary dance, in which the EBAs of Amecameca, Chimalhuacán 1 and 2, Ecatepec, Nezahualcóyotl and Texcoco 2 participated.

On the second day, the public enjoyed the Big Band Jazz Orchestra, directed by Ruth Iran Quiroz Espejel and made up of students from the EBAs of Atlacomulco, Capulhuac, Jocotitlán, Jilotepec, Toluca and Tenango del Valle; and continued with the Mexican Folkloric Dance show.

Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel, Secretary of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, highlighted the importance of artistic education in the development of human sensitivity.
