#SE.- The Government of the State of Mexico, through the Secretary of Labor, awarded 84 work centers with the State of Mexico Without Child Labor Distinction (EDOMEXSTI) to recognize the work they carry out in favor of the rights of Mexican children and adolescents.
«Every child who works is a broken dream, a dashed hope and a future that will never be built,» said Norberto Morales Poblete, Secretary of Labor, during the Forty-First Ordinary Session of the Inter-institutional Commission for the Eradication of Child Labor.
On behalf of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Norberto Morales Poblete, Secretary of Labor presided over the awarding of the Distinctions, pointing out that the eradication of child labor is a task for everyone, an effort that must unite authorities, businessmen, educators, organizations and citizens.
He added that a joint commitment is needed to protect children and adolescents, so that no one has to work instead of studying and enjoying their childhood.
The Government of Maestra Delfina Gómez Álvarez has stood out for prioritizing the welfare of the people of Mexico; children and young people are no exception in this noble work, so the search for the eradication of child labor is an arduous task that requires the participation of both individuals, civil associations and public service.
«Today we not only deliver a recognition, but it is also a call for continued action. It reminds us that, although we have made significant progress, there is still much to do. That is why I invite you to continue working together, to redouble our efforts and to remain firm in our commitment to protect our children,» concluded Secretary Norberto Morales Poblete.
