ICAO recognizes CIIASA as a Platinum Level Instruction Center of Excellence / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Undersecretary of Communications and Transportation, Rogelio Jiménez Pons; the General Director of Airports and Auxiliary Services (ASA), Carlos Javier Villazón Salem; and the Regional Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Cristopher Barks, unveiled the Plaque of Recognition to the International Training Center of Airports and Auxiliary Services (CIIASA) Platinum Level, as a Training Center of Excellence of the Trainair Plus Program.

It is recalled that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) delivered last month this highest distinction to CIIASA, which distinguishes Mexico for its commitment to civil aviation in the world.

At the event, the general director of ASA, Carlos Javier Villazon Salem, stressed that 59 years after the creation of this organization and 14 years of CIIASA, the unveiling of the plaque in which ICAO recognizes this as an Instruction Center of Excellence of the Trainair Plus Platinum Level Program, is for its unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and excellence in its services.

CIIASA thus reaffirms its mission to contribute to the development and comprehensive connectivity in the country, through the provision of public services that provide total satisfaction to customers and users of air transport, he said.

Representing the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), Jorge Nuño Lara, the Undersecretary Jiménez Pons said that in recent years the country’s aviation sector was affected by various circumstances, particularly for having been downgraded to Category 2 in terms of aviation safety.
