Mexico admits request for review filed by the United States under the Labor Mechanism / @SE_mx >>>

#SE.- Under the Labor Rapid Response Mechanism in Specific Facilities of Annex 31-A (MLRR) of the Agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC), on July 4, the Ministry of Economy informed the Office of the United States Trade Representative of the admission of a request for review received on June 24, 2024, regarding a possible denial of rights of freedom of association and collective bargaining in the company Industrias Tecnos, located in Cuernavaca, Morelos.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare will conduct, within 45 days from the date of receipt of the request, an internal review to determine whether there is a denial of rights at Tecnos.

The Government of Mexico reiterates its commitment to effectively implement the labor legislation, as well as the provisions established in the T-MEC, thus guaranteeing compliance with and protection of the collective rights of the country’s workers.
